Salon Edge Software (salonedgesoftware.com) is the appointment and client-record system used by independent salons and stylists ("your salon"). This page explains what we keep about you and how it's used.
What we keep
- Your name, mobile number, and anything you choose to give your salon: email, address, birthday, scheduling preferences, and notes such as allergies or sensitivities.
- Your appointments, services, visit notes (for example a color formula), and payments made at the salon.
- Whether you agreed to receive texts, and when.
- Card payments are processed by Square. Salon Edge Software never sees or stores your full card number.
How it's used
- To book and manage your appointments, remind you of them, and keep your service history for your stylist.
- To send the texts you agreed to: reminders, confirmations, changes, receipts, and booking links.
- Each salon sees only its own clients' information.
Text messages and your mobile number
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Mobile information is shared only with our texting provider, to deliver the messages you asked for. Reply STOP to any message to stop texts; reply HELP for help. See the texting terms.
Your choices
You can ask your salon to update or delete your information at any time. Deleting it removes your client record except what the salon must keep for its tax and payment records.
Security
Information is stored encrypted in transit (HTTPS), each salon's data is separated, staff sign-ins support two-step verification, and the database is backed up nightly.
